About Optelec

My Partner and I worked for other companies in the industry before forming our own.  This allowed us to get hands-on experience in the business, as well as gain new perspectives.

We, however, had a strong desire to provide more personalized services in the telecommunication industry.  Thus, we decided to create our own company.

We knew the importance of a strong name, but what would we come up with?  We thought long and hard...

Based on our skills and the quality work we produce, optimal performance seemed a fitting adjective, and we would be operating in the US Telecom market...  That led to the combination of the words optimal and telecom... and, in 2008, Optelec was born!
